You wake up at 7am to a bright sunny day. You open the curtains, and your room lights up. You have a big day today! You’re lovely boyfriend Niall Horan is taking you for a day out! Looking into the mirror you say;
“Today is going to be a great day.”
You smile to yourself, and start to get ready but, before you get to your wardrobe to get out a casual summer outfit, you receive a text message on your phone. Who from? Niall. It reads;
‘Morning bub! Hope I didn’t wake you up!
but knowing you, you probably woke up before me :)
I have a lot planned for us today, so get ready!
Might be a good idea to bring a picnic…

Luckily, you live right next door to a Nandos! So bringing a picnic won’t be too hard. You grab a huge basket and stuff all of your picnic food in there. The only things you plan to bring with you are your phone, the food, and the camera to take photos. Just after you put your phone in your pocket, the door bell rings. You race to the door super excited but something happens… Niall opens the door first! He sees your sprinting to the door, he opens his arms and smiles, just waiting to catch you in his arms.
You didn’t notice the random fold on your floor rug, and almost fell over, but Niall was there to catch you. He looks you in the eyes, and you blush.
“Aha, sorry!”
“It’s okay, I was already looking forward to this hug.
You ready? Let’s get going!”
You both stand up, you pick up your things and you sit in the car. Niall smiles and says;
“You’re in for a long drive. You can sleep, I’ll wake you up when we get there.”
So you fall asleep. It was such a nice sleep. You’ve never felt so comfortable sleeping in the car. During that sleep, you had a dream, and that dream wasn’t so clear. You see the light shining brightly from the sun, you look to see the sun’s rays making a lake glisten beautifully. You hear the bird’s singing. You see colourful flowers appearing around the lake, one by one. There’s one small patch of grass with flowers around it next to the lake, and a stone pathway is made. Along that path, you see a picnic set up. Sleep talking you say;
“That would be a nice place to have a picnic.”
You suddenly feel a warm hand on your shoulder, and someone whispers in your ear;
“Wake up babe, we’re here.”
You open your eyes to Niall’s smiling face, you turn around to look outside the window, and to your surprise, you see a place that looks strangely familiar. You feel the warm feeling you felt in your dream. Could it be? The beautiful place you were thinking about? The sunlight, the lake, the flowers… they’re all there! Niall opens your door for you, with the picnic food in hand, holds out his hand and says;
“Let’s go.”
He pulls you up and you walk hand in hand. You see the stone pathway from your dream. You walk along it with Niall, and the long stroll feels like your dream. The warmth of the sun, the scent of lavender and other flowers, the singing of the mockingbird… all of it brings a smile across your face.
Just like in the dream, you come across a patch of grass next to the lake. Niall lays down the picnic blanket, and you both sit. You take out the Nandos and you both start to eat. Niall, eating the way he does, and every few seconds you notice that there’s a little more on his plate than there was before. You look down to your plate to have your first chip and notice that you only have half a piece of chicken there. So you ask Niall, while he’s happily munching away at his chicken;
“Niall…”
“Yes?”
“Are you taking my chicken?”
“…”
“Niall?”
“Well..”
“You are aren’t you?!”
You stopped to look at each other, and Niall almost looked sorry for taking food! you couldn’t help but laugh! and he starts laughing with you.
After Niall had almost finished all the picnic food, he stands up, stretches, and asks you to wait for him for a bit.
“I won’t take long, promise!”
So you decide to lay down on your back for a while. Looking up, you stare at the clouds in the bright blue sky. It’s such a wonderful day. You’re just such a lucky person to be having a picnic on such a day, with Niall. Just thinking about normal things, you hear footsteps, and suddenly, Niall’s looking down at you. He smiles tenderly, and slowly leans in for a kiss. The feeling of his lips on yours was so tender, so warm, so lovely. He pulls you up, hands you a bouquet of all the different flowers around the lake and says;
“Thank you.”
You stop to look at him, tilt your head a little, smile, and make a small giggle. He smiles back at you and says;
“I love you.”
and grabs you for a hug, and another wonderful kiss.
